Argument: Previous experience shapes our perception
Different cultures view things differently, eg the swastica is seen as a symbol of threat/fear in the West whereas it is a sign of eternity and various other things in the East.
- During our lives,we accumulate memories, especially during parental upbringing.
- These memories, by inductive reasoning lead us to assume a lot of things.
- Assuming a lot of things, especially based on observation, most oftenly leads to faulty conclusions.
- Our memories lead us to have a distorted view of the world.
