Argunet Debates

Argument: The most basic logical thought are objective.

Eg: apple is objective, not its properties

  1. By the law of non-contradiction, two ideas cannot both be true at the same time.
  2. We are dealing with basic ideas.
  3. Basic ideas are said to be basic because they are not dependant on too many outside factors.
  4. Subjective ideas arise when there are too many factors to be relied upon, e.g. ethics.
  5. Hence subjective ideas are not basic.
  6. Our brain, even if it is often deceptive, can detect in the most basic ideas contradictions.
  7. Hence there is no definite evidence that our brain has flawed logic.
  8. Our universe, if it exist, has a core set of objective concepts which can be acquainted without the use of perception. Ethics, the arts and human behaviour are not part of this core set.
