Argument: Some notions about the world are in the strict form of thought
- Physical sciences, expecially theoretical, do not intrinsically depend on our perception of the world, they can be pure human thought with no perception of the world intervening.
- Ideas are acquired and can be checked independantly of perception, they can be checked by logic.
- Physical sciences are not dependant on perception, they can however be observed as being true by the means of perception.
